Welcome to Tyrone Deer Farm centrally situated in the Mt.Hutt, Rakaia Gorge, Methven area, 5km from the Inland Tourist Route (SH72), an ideal stopover on the way to Queenstown and just 1hr from Christchurch International Airport. Enjoy beautiful views of Mt.Hutt and of our deer grazing just metres away. The ensuite bedrooms have electric blankets, wool underlays, duvets, heaters and hair dryers. The lounge has open fire, TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a guest fridge. Come and meet ‘Gus’ our pet deer, her daughter ‘$$s’ and ‘10.30’ our cat. Stay 2 or 3 nights, do some of our wonderful local walks, ski Mt.Hutt, laze in the garden, swim in the pool, but most of all relax! On arrival enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and home made muffins with your hosts. An evening meal, served with New Zealand wine, by prior arrangement.
