Features & Attractions

Moeraki is a unique unspoilt fishing village which was once a thriving whaling station. It is now a restful place where you can relax and unwind and soak up the ambience. The harbour is scattered with commercial, charter and pleasure boats. Charters can be arranged if required. Catch your own blue cod for dinner. The Moeraki Boulders are a five minute drive from the village and the locals call them the eighth wonder of the world. The lighthouse is also a five minute drive, where yellow eyed penguins can be seen coming in through the waves at from mid-afternoon. Hector dolphins are regularly seen in the bay. Take a leisurely walk around the village, relax on your own deck, or enjoy the wonderful fresh fish straight from the boats at the world famous Fleurs Restaurant. Moeraki is a great place for a romantic getaway or a well deserved break.
