Ferntown Lodge offers boutique adventure lodge accommodation, kayaking, bush walks, native bird life and access to the many local attractions and activities in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Whether you are  looking for a bit of adventure, are on your honeymoon, or just need a bit of time out, we offer a truly unique Kiwi experience. The park-like grounds contain one of New Zealand’s finest virgin lowland totara forests. Without even leaving the lodge, you can experience the wonderful hidden walks amongst the serene native bush and bird life, take a paddle through the property’s many tranquil waterways, or  venture into the river for some trout fishing, then just relax in the privacy of your own villa. Cooked  breakfast avaiable on request. Your hosts will be Brian and Judy who have many years of hospitality  experience in ownership of such places as the famous Cardrona Hotel.
