Friendly Feilding has won New Zealand’s ‘Most Beautiful Town’ award 14 times. It has Edwardian type buildings and boutique shopping. This farming town has the biggest sheep and cattle sale yards in the Southern Hemisphere. Fridays they are fully operational - stroll around the Farmer’s Market in the town square and then take a tour of the Sale Yards at 11am (Friday only). Aroha B&B, like the town centre, has beautifully landscaped gardens. It is within walking distance to town yet it is quiet and peaceful. You’ll be guaranteed an environment conducive of a good night’s sleep. It’s an ideal place to break your journey if travelling throughout the North Island. Two to three hours drive in all directions to major places of interest.
