Fantail Lodge offers self-contained cottage accommodation set in a lush harbourside garden. We are situated centrally on the Otago Peninsula, within easy reach of unspoiled beaches, albatross, seals and penguins. Relax on the verandah and enjoy the company of native birds. Walk to the local castle or paddle a kayak on the harbour. With so much to explore we recommend you stay for at least two nights and we offer a discount for longer stays. We are five minutes drive to the local store and restaurants and twenty minutes from Dunedin. The cottages are equipped for self-catering with an optional continental breakfast hamper for busy travellers. There are two unique cottages for you to choose from: ‘Fantail Cottage’ offers queen bed accommodation with two singles on a mezzanine floor. Ideal for two, but comfortably sleeps four people. ‘Bellbird Cottage’ offers queen bed accommodation. Relax and enjoy the exclusive use of a spa pool under the stars. Perfect for a couple.
DIRECTIONS:
From Dunedin take Portobello Rd along harbour towards Taiaroa Head. After 15 km (20 min) you will see Broad Bay Boating Club and jetty. Turn next right into Clearwater St and turn again hard right in front of two storey B&B house on corner. Straight on to #682. |
