Our modern award winning homestay is spectacularly sited on a hilltop with panoramic river valley and ocean views. Enjoy tranquillity and beauty when you stay in tastefully furnished bedrooms, two with ensuites. Explore the 5 acre garden and small farm. Feed sheep and alpacas, stroll through the forest or along the river, or play a round on our family’s private 9-hole golf course. After a day exploring the delights of the area, join us for a three course meal with wine. We are keen gardeners, read widely and enjoy antiques. Anne is a floral designer and John a tree connoisseur. After a lifetime in large scale farming and forestry, before retiring to this 100 acre property, we now relish the opportunity to share our lifestyle with guests. With family living overseas, we travel frequently and have a great interest in other countries and cultures. An overnight stay is not enough to do justice to this area so plan to stay awhile! Attractions include Oamaru’s historic architecture, heritage and fossil trails, beaches, seals, penguins and famous Moeraki Boulders. Take day trips to Mt Cook and Dunedin. We don’t mind short notice!
