The cottage has self-contained accommodation with bedrooms, bathroom, lounge and kitchenette. Courtyard and barbecue area with views of river and bush. Continental or full breakfast. Paul is an engineer and writer, and Eppie sketches and paints. Laundry facilities. Local café, pottery and birdpark with river walks and you can swim in the river. There are more restaurants in Waikanae village, six minutes drive, and in Paraparaumu, ten minutes towards Wellington. Craft shops and boutiques at Lindale and general shopping at Paraparaumu. Beaches and swimming pools in both centres. The capital city Wellington is forty-five minutes away and has the airport, inter-island ferries, shops, galleries and museums. Internet available.
DIRECTIONS: Turn off SH 1 across railway lines onto Akatarawa Road. At 5km turn left before small church into Ngatiawa Road. 1km to Riverstone on left. |
